Self-hosted personal administrative vault

Arca tracks the deadlines of your IDs, contracts and notice periods, and keeps the documents that go with them, on your own server, with nothing sent anywhere.

Arca's dashboard: overdue actions, actions within 30 and 90 days, and panels by month, category and person.

Three questions, answered

The dashboard on a phone.

What's coming up?

Every deadline sorted by the day you must act, notice period included, on your computer or your phone.
A record with its reference, deadlines and documents.

Where is that document?

Each record keeps its reference number, its deadlines and its documents, found by a search that reads PDFs too.
A termination letter ready to print.

What do I do, and by when?

Arca computes the last day to act and prepares the termination letter, which you check and send.

What Arca does

  • Deadlines that count back

Expiry dates, anniversaries and payments, with the notice period and the recurrence you enter.

  • Documents with versions

PDFs and photos attached to their record, with every version kept and the text of PDFs searched.

  • Quick add that reads

A photo of an ID card or passport, or a contract's PDF, fills in the form. Read on your server, checked by you.

  • Calendar feeds

An iCal feed for the household or for one person, with alarms before each action date.

  • Encrypted backups

Daily backups and exports encrypted with a recovery key that the server never keeps.

  • Termination letters

A neutral letter to adapt, saved as a PDF in the record, with its follow-up until confirmation.

  • The whole household

Records for each person or for the household as a whole, in one installation.

  • English and French

Interface and user guide in both languages, light and dark themes.

Your data stays home

  • No telemetry, no outgoing call, no cloud service: Arca runs on your server and talks to nothing else.
  • The database and documents are stored in clear, so encrypt the server's disk.
  • Backups and exports are encrypted with your recovery key before they leave the server.

Install with Docker

Questions

Is Arca a document manager like Paperless-ngx?

No. Arca follows deadlines: when an ID expires, when a contract can be cancelled, when to act given the notice period. Documents are attached to the record they belong to and their text is searched, but Arca does not scan or file a whole archive.

Does Arca send reminders?

Arca serves a calendar feed (iCal) that your calendar app fetches, with alarms before each action date. Arca itself sends nothing: no e-mail, no push notification.

Can several people use it?

There is one login per installation, and that person follows the whole household: each record belongs to a person or to the household.

Is my data encrypted?

Backups and exports are encrypted with a recovery key that only you keep. The database and documents on the server are stored in clear, like most self-hosted applications: encrypt the server's disk.
